Back To The Start

What a busy few weeks!! I got back from America to a job offer at the place I worked at for a while back in April last year doing data entry, except this time on the front desk. Its nice to be doing something different for a while before heading off on the next journey over in America. Its been a lot to learn which has meant i’ve hardly had time to think during the week and then need to sleep and catch up on other things during the weekend. Yesterday was the first opportunity to get out and do something fun 😀

So the plan was to go finally to Auckland zoo as i have REALLY wanted to go. Not having a car i made plans with Kaylene and we drove up there sunday morning expecting to be busy but not too much that we find a park …. we were wrong haha – there must have been something on at the zoo or somewhere around as it seemed the whole of Auckland had turned up there all on the same day!!!!

We drove around a little just looking for a park before deciding on leaving it for another day … and decided that we’d go to the beach instead. Kaylene hadn’t been to Muriwai (the place i first lived when i came over here) so i thought we could go and do some of the walks in the area i missed out on last time. It was weird going back having not been there in a year and a half but i still knew my way and everything looked the same haha.

We took a path out along the cliffs to where hundreds of gulls nest every year .. it smelt rather bad but was quite impressive .. there were even babies. We had lunch and went and saw where the old house was before getting back home – strange visit but im glad i saw it one last time before i leave.

Hopfully we’ll be able to get to the zoo before i go and plan a few more things. I’m busy getting everything together to send my application over to the US while also working out my plans for travelling the last month i’m here down in the south island 😀
